Children of the Island
05:01
|
|||
I feel the loneliness,
I feel your loneliness.
I've got an island in my heart,
You've got an island in your heart.
Oceans of pride tear us apart,
But deep inside we beat as one.
I feel the loneliness,
I feel your loneliness.
Come on, come on, come on,
Children of the Island.
Siento la soledad,
Siento tu soledad.
Nadar a tientas en el mar,
Desconocida unicidad.
Ínsula humana singular,
Mapa en unísono oscilar.
Siento la soledad,
Siento tu soledad.
Como, como, como
Niña de la Isla.
I sit on the bay, (Me siento en la bahía)
I'm watching you play. (Te veo jugando)
Show me the right wave, (Muéstrame la ola correcta)
True love for today. (El amor verdadero para el hoy)
Come on, come on, come on,
Children of the Island.
I feel the soledad
Siento tu loneliness
Bajo el dolor dulce del amor.
Under the waves, we go with the flow. (bajo las olas, fluyendo)
Bajo el olor de alhelí en flor.
Under the shelter of eternal love. (bajo el abrigo del amor eterno)
Siento la loneliness,
I feel your soledad.
Come on, come on, come on,
Children of the Island.

Little Girl Lost

Children of the future age,
Reading this indignant page,
Know that in a former time
Love, sweet love, was thought a crime.
In the age of gold,
Free from winter's cold,
Youth and maiden bright,
To the holy light,
Naked in the sunny beams delight.
Once a youthful pair,
Filled with softest care,
Met in garden bright
Where the holy light
Had just removed the curtains of the night.
Then, in rising day,
On the grass they play;
Parents were afar,
Strangers came not near,
And the maiden soon forgot her fear.
Tired with kisses sweet,
They agree to meet
When the silent sleep
Waves o'er heaven's deep,
And the weary tired wanderers weep.
To her father white
Came the maiden bright;
But his loving look,
Like the holy book
All her tender limbs with terror shook.
'Ona, pale and weak,
To thy father speak!
Oh the trembling fear!
Oh the dismal care
That shakes the blossoms of my hoary hair!'.
(*) A little girl lost es un poema extraído de Songs of Innocence and of Experience de William Blake:
Sobre la hierba jugaban;
Los padres estaban lejos,
No se acercaban los caminantes,
Pronto olvidó la doncella sus temores.
Fatigados por dulces besos,
Convinieron encontrarse
Cuando el sueño silencioso
Ondea en las profundidades del cielo,
Y los desgastados peregrinos lloran.
A su padre de blancas sienes
Volvió luminosa la doncella;
Pero ante su amorosa mirada,
Como ante el Libro Sagrado,
Sus miembros delicados temblaron de terror.
"¡Ona! ¡pálida y débil!
Háblale a tu Padre:
¡Oh! temor estremecido
¡Oh! siniestra inquietud

Bless Me
04:43
|
|||
Oh! My love,
Bless me
From the other side.
Oh! My girl,
There were
Shadows in my soul.
Bless me!
Bless me!
My... My god,
Bless me,
I am all afraid,
I am all afraid!
Oh! My arms are wasted,
They are all alone.
A voice calls from the other side
Of the floor,
But something in the way
Makes me stop.
She is leaving me without
Saying a word.
My!... My girl,
Bless me
From the other side…
And the words…
And the words…
Scare me now…
Say me a word!*
(*) BENDÍCEME
Oh, amor
Bendíceme
desde el otro lado.
Oh, mi chica,
Existen
Sombras en mi alma.
¡Bendíceme!
¡Bendíceme!
Dios mío
Bendíceme
Tengo miedo,
¡Tengo miedo!
Oh, mis manos,
Agotadas,
Están solas.
Una voz llama desde el otro lado
Del suelo,
Pero algo en el camino me detiene.
Ella me deja sin
Decir nada.
¡Mi!... Mi chica
Bendíceme,
Desde el otro lado...
Y las palabras…
Y las palabras...
Ahora me asustan,
¡Dime una palabra!

Amore e Morte
05:29
|
|||
Menandro (s. IV a.C.)
Hermanos, a un mismo tiempo,
Amor y Muerte.
Los engendró la suerte...
Fratelli, a un tempo stesso,
Amore e Morte
Ingenerò la sorte.
Amore e Morte
Fratelli
Nasce dallʼUno.
¡Amore e Morte!
Nasce dallʼuno il bene
Nasce il piacer maggiore
Che per lo mar dellʼessere si trova;
Lʼaltra ogni gran dolore,
Ogni gran male annulla.
Bellissima fanciulla.
Bellissima, bellissima fanciulla...
Amore e Morte...
Nace del amor el bien,
Nace el mayor placer
Que alberga el mar del ser;
La muerte, cada gran tortura,
Cada gran mal, anula.

El Timón
05:26
|
|||
Zozobraba mi calzada cuando,
Caminando,
